LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

We are looking for an energetic and reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to join our healthcare team. You will work under the guidance of a nurse practitioner or doctor. LPN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding.

General – Patient Care

  • Responsible for taking patient history and obtain vital signs prior to Provider seeing patient.

  • Perform basic testing or screenings such as: vision, urine drug screens (NIDA and Non-NIDA), EKG’s, pulmonary function testing, nerve conduction screens, and others.

  • Perform necessary phlebotomy for collection of laboratory samples, as needed.

  • Accurately complete corresponding paperwork/computer work for lab tests ordered on blood, urine, tissue and culture samples.

  • Able to perform subcutaneous, intradermal and intramuscular injections and accurately complete paperwork according to policy for that procedure.

  • Perform point of care testing such as: strep, mono, glucose, influenza, urine pregnancy, urinalysis, blood glucose levels, and others as needed.

  • Assist providers with exams and testing.

  • Completes and passes annual competency and skills testing.


General - Clerical

  • Maintain patient records for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, physicians’ review, etc.

  • Log and mark charges on superbills per billing office protocols.

  • Document patient files, records, forms, and other info.

  • Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments.

  • Be sure the work area appears neat, well stocked, and organized.


General - Other Duties

  • Maintain disposable and non-disposable supplies, i.e. wound care supplies, laundry, etc.

  • Provide general information of department policies and procedures.

  • Attend required meetings, re-certifications, and participate in committees as requested.

  • Maintain a clean, professional working/treatment area.

  • Accept and assume responsibility for special projects as they arise.

  • All other duties as assigned.
