Peter E. Godfrey, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Godfrey established his Culpeper practice, Blue Ridge OB/GYN in 1983 and has had the privilege of delivering several generations over the years. Today Dr. Godfrey joins Wellspring Health Services to continue practicing and servicing the community he and Wellspring both love. As of July, 2016, Dr. Godfrey has been focusing exclusively on gynecology. He has extensive experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery, being one of the first doctors in Virginia to do a laparoscopic hysterectomy. In addition, he has extensive experience in treating endometriosis, pelvic pain, and symptoms of menopause. Dr. Godfrey was named one of Northern Virginia Magazine’s “Top Doctors” for 2016 and he was also voted the 2016 Best Doctor/Physician by readers of the Culpeper Star Exponent for the Best of Culpeper awards.
Dr. Godfrey received his undergraduate degree from University of Maryland in College Park and his medical degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. He completed his internship and residency in OB-GYN at Tulane University, New Orleans, LA.
Dr. Godfrey is married and has four grown children. He enjoys reading, travel, and spending time with his family.
Peter T. Wilbanks, M.D.
Dr. Peter T. Wilbanks, M.D. has spent the entirety of his medical career practicing with Virginia Women’s Center. After a bike injury in 2014, he retired from the practice of obstetrics and now focuses on non-surgical gynecology. His clinical interests include Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), uterine fibroids, metabolic syndrome and the management of menopausal symptoms and mood disorders. Dr. Wilbanks is board certified in both OB-GYN and Obesity Medicine. He is dedicated in offering office based ambulatory gynecology and wellness programs to help patients achieve their weight loss goals.

Dr. Wilbanks received his undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University and his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed his internship and residency in OB-GYN at the Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Wilbanks is active in community affairs and has served on the boards for many local organizations. He is particularly interested in health care economics and the disparities in health care among the disadvantaged. He and his wife, Kelly, have two teenage children
